NER is excited to announce an improved process for providing freight quotes. Starting on July 26, 2010 we will begin using new internal tools that minimize the steps involved in the freight quoting process, reduce the time to generate the freight quotes, and allow us to integrate the freight quote directly into the body of the product quote.
To take advantage of these new capabilities we need to you to provide us with a minimal amount of initial customer shipping information at the time you request the product quote:
Destination Zip Code / Destination City / Destination State
If you know that there is a special or expedited service required please let us know that information as well at the time of request.
Unless specified, our freight quotes correspond to a “ground service” for all parcel shipments, “dock delivery” for all palletized LTL (less then truckload) shipments, and “lift gate service with inside delivery” for all cabinet shipments.
Freight quotes are valid for thirty (30) days. Please be aware some minor variation between quoted and actual rates may occur due to the application of the fuel surcharge. Fuel surcharge rates are posted by the US Department of Energy. As part of the new process, Product quotes will now be valid for a thirty (30) day period to correspond with the freight quote. This change from our current 60 day policy, will make the process clear and simple for all involved.
