Network Switch Cooling
Effective cool air delivery for network switches with side-to-side, side-to-rear and rear-to-front airflow. Maintain a perfectly controlled environment for your network switches with SwitchAirTM and EC Containment CoolingTM Systems from Opengate
Switch port density makes it very convenient to place network switches facing the rear of rack where sever port density resides to simplify network cabling. Due to switch high-port density, intake air is typically at the sides of the switch chassis with heat exhaust out the rear or other side of the network switch chassis.
SwitchAir 2U ensures up to two rear mounted switches are able to receive the required cool air from outside the rack. Use SwitchAir Cooling for effective cool air delivery to rear rack mounted 1U switches.
1U Switch air models are available.
SwitchAir delivers air to the switch via the SwitchAir Channels. SwitchAir 2U works with switches having; side intake-rear exhaust, side intake-side exhaust and rear intake-front exhaust. You can even stack switches with varying airflow patterns together.
• Quick and simple installation, SwitchAir installs in minutes
• Safely installs on network switches already in operation
• Developed in coordination with IT and network groups – ensures flexibility for most network switch types and installation methods
• Network switch receives cool air from outside the front of the rack and is delivered to the switch without hot air contamination
• Allows the continued practice of placing network switches inside the rack even with high-heat loads commonly generated by today’s energy efficient servers
